COURT OF MUSES
In 2314 AD, on the German island of Norderney, Viola, a cancer patient revived after 300 years of cryogenic suspension, finds herself in a female-dominated, seemingly utopian world governed by the oppressive "Court of Muses".
Synopsis
In 2314 AD on the German island of Norderney, deceased cancer patient VIOLA is brought back to life after 300 years of cryogenic suspension, into an all-female world, ruled by the “Court of Muses“, a seemingly just, but at its core inhumane government. While trying to survive in this new world order, Viola discovers the brutality of a fe- male-led utopia, which practices social injustice following strict genetic hierarchies, and abuses men through slavery and archaic rituals. After a century of peace, the realm of the Muses is under threat: whispers of combatants approaching from beyond the border are met with increasingly radical Court politics and extremist views. The arrival of Viola and her human DNA connect the present of the Muse society with its past, our present day, as Viola’s DNA turns out to be one of the main genetic sources of the First Muses who entered the War against Men. Viola’s need to not only survive in the Muse world, but change it into a more humane society, will force her to change from cancer victim to Pure-Blood Muse fighter. Together with Estelle and Thalia, Viola will lead the rogue rebellions against the Court, with the goal to abolish its reign and bring about peace between women and men, Pure-Bloods and Half-Bloods.
